Getting started with Persian? Here are answers to a few questions you might have.
Are Persian and Farsi the same language?
Yes! Farsi is the Persian name for the language. You will see both names used throughout Taj Academy.
Can I start as a complete beginner?
Yes. Start with the alphabet lessons if Persian script is new to you, then explore the beginner grammar and vocabulary lessons at your own pace.
Do I need to know the Persian alphabet?
You do not need to know it before you begin. Finglish can help you get started, and learning the alphabet will help you read Persian and become more independent as you progress.
What is Finglish?
Finglish is Persian written with Latin letters. At Taj Academy, it appears alongside Persian script in learning materials to help you follow the pronunciation of words and sentences.
What can I find inside Taj Academy?
You can explore Persian grammar and vocabulary lessons, homework, quizzes, podcasts, and a dictionary with Persian words, Finglish, English meanings, and examples. Check the Pricing page for what is included in each plan.
Can I study at my own pace?
